Brian P. Mack

Brian opened his firm in 2003, focusing his practice on the representation of persons who are injured in workers compensation and personal injury matters. Brian handles thousands of injury claims, and recovers millions of dollars for people who have been hurt. The firm also represents individuals as well as small and medium size businesses in a variety of matters, including commercial disputes, bankruptcy litigation, and transfers of annuity streams.

Brian was formerly associated with the firm of Ancel, Glink, Diamond, Cope Bush in Chicago where he was an associate and then partner. There, he learned how employers and their insurance companies think and operate, and developed an acute awareness of the unique needs of injured workers and how best to protect their rights.

As an accomplished appellate attorney, Brian has personally handled multiple appeals before several Illinois appellate districts. He achieved great success in the Federal Courts and has tried several cases in the US District Court in Chicago and handled appeals before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Brian graduated from the University of Michigan in 1985 and the University Of Dayton School Of Law in 1988. He is a member of all Illinois and Indiana State and Federal bars. He is involved in several charity and community organizations and is a board member of Catholic Charities in Chicago and the Small Business Advocacy Council. He spends his free time volunteering as a coach for youth league sports.

He lives happily in Chicago with his wife, Katie, and their 4 children.


James J. Tragos

James Tragos has been with the Mack Law Group, PC since its inception. James earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Chicago in 2001 while majoring in Law, Letters and Society. James obtained his Law Degree from the DePaul University College of Law in 2004.

In law school, James clerked for Richardson, Stasko, Boyd Mack, LLC for two years and assisted in the personal injury, civil rights and commercial litigation departments. After being admitted to practice law in Illinois in 2004, James has acquired additional licenses to practice law in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan

Since joining the firm, James has obtained significant settlements and awards in cases involving workers’ compensation, personal injury and civil rights. Additionally, James has represented the firm’s clients in structured settlement transactions and litigation in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan.

James is currently a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Workers Compensation Lawyers Association, Michigan Bar Association, Wisconsin Bar Association, and Iowa Bar Association.
